Father of toddler found wandering in Pearl River County has been arrested

The father of a little girl found wandering alone in Pearl River County has been arrested.

The father has been identified as Brian Davis from Gulfport.

The 2-year-old was found wandering on Salem Road about 10 a.m., A social media post made by Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department about the little girl went viral and the parents were quickly located.

Maj. Mark Ogden said the father has been arrested and on felony child neglect charges and the child is in the custody of Child Protective Services pending an investigation of her family life.

This is an ongoing investigation.
