Father Accused Of Beating Son Indicted
A judge ruled the father accused of beating his then three year old son, Zander can remain free on bond pending trial.
A Jackson County grand jury indicted 25-year-old, Nathan Blake McCrory, on a total of four counts of felony child abuse.
This is the second bond hearing for McCrory.
Last week, McCrory was arrested at his job in Pascagoula and his bond was temporarily revoked.
Prosecutors were attempting to have his bond permanently revoked arguing he violated the terms of his release by driving near the home of a witness.
McCrory has to continue to wear a GPS and alcohol monitoring device.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department initially charged McCrory with two counts of felony child abuse in July of 2016 for allegedly beating and burning his son, Zander Saucier, in April of 2016.
Zander has since made a full recovery.
A tentative trial date for McCrory is set for July 24.
