Fatal crash in Hancock County

A crash in Hancock County on Highway 607 northbound near Highway 604 claimed the life of one man at around 10 last night.
Officers say it appears a 71-year-old male, traveling south on Highway 607 in a Ford Fiesta crossed the center line, entering the northbound lane and crashed head on with a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 21-year-old man from Slidell.
The driver of the Ford was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries.
