Farmers Market hosts festival to support local vendors
Biloxi Main Street and the Biloxi Parks and Recreation Department hosted a market festival today on Howard Avenue.
The festival hosted a variety of market vendors selling fresh produce, plants and more. The event also hosted live entertainment, food, and giveaways at the event.
Biloxi Main Street holds events similar to this one at the market about five times a year.
The market itself is open every Tuesday and Thursday year-round from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. under the I-110 overpass on Howard Avenue. Biloxi Main Street Executive Director Kay Miller said, “It’s just fun. It adds fun to the farmers market. Some people have never been, so it’s just a great time to come out and see what they’re selling and sit outside. The weather is starting to get a little nicer and enjoy the outside.”
Biloxi Main Street’s next event will be its ‘pumpkinpalooza’ festival held at the same location on October 28th.
