By now we have all heard of the terrifying scenes from New Orleans early this morning with the terror attacks that too the lives of at least 15 and injured dozens more.

Because of the senseless attack on the first morning of 2025, the Sugar Bowl between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Georgia Bulldogs has been postponed to Thursday at 3:00. After back-and-forth conversation following the incident Wednesday morning, local and state law enforcement made the decision to postpone the game between the Irish and the Bulldogs. Of course, many fans have made their way to the Big Easy to celebrate the College Football Playoffs. After the attack, fans were left with the decision to leave or stay in NOLA.

“Coming into this weekend you are all fired up,” one fan said. “You are coming to New Orleans, you are coming to see Georgia and Notre Dame and you see people in the elevator and you have a hard time saying happy New Year because, obviously, many people died and many people were injured. It’s a tragic situation so really it puts a sobering face on what should be a great celebration.”

“I don’t think anyone is going to be going out tonight,” another fan said. “Everybody that I have talked to who is going to the game like us is still going to the game. When I was coming out of the hotel to go on this coffee run this morning there were dozens of people who Georgia stuff on who were checking out. I didn’t get a chance to talk to any of them but my guess is that a lot of them have just decided to head home.”
