Fans coming together to watch USA in World Cup

People all over the country gathered to watch the Men’s U.S. Soccer Team compete in their third match of the World Cup.

Walk-On’s in D’Iberville welcomed any and all soccer fans to join them while watching Team USA beat Iran to qualify for the round of 16.

The team requested for fans to wear blue to match their uniforms for the day.

This World Cup specifically had a lot of people waiting due to it being the first time in eight years the men’s team would compete.

Fans are enjoying seeing people come together to root on our country. Soccer fan Reagan Hall said, “I played high school soccer and it’s amazing to see the enthusiasm and have pride in the country, so it’s been an amazing experience. Hopefully they can pull out a win today.”

Team USA will move on to the elimination round as they play against the Netherlands on Saturday, December 3rd.
