Family of Delta State student asks for independent autopsy
The family of the Delta State student found hanging from a tree on campus Monday is calling for a second independent autopsy.
Details of the initial autopsy for Trey Reed indicated that the cause of death was suicide and that no evidence of foul play was suspected.
Toxicology results from the autopsy are still pending.
Reed’s family though is now asking police to show them any security camera recordings they may have, along with an independent autopsy.
Civil Rights Attorney Ben Crump has also indicated he will lead an independent investigation into Reed’s death.
