Family mourn loss of 36-year-old Corri Howard at candlelight vigil

Friends and family of a man whose body was found in Moss Point gathered for a candlelight vigil in Pascagoula.

Corri Howard was found January 13th after he ran from police during a chase.

The man’s death has been a point of contention among community members, some of whom believe Howard’s death is suspicious.

An autopsy completed this week ruled out homicide.

Howard was last seen January 8th when police tried to pull him over on a traffic stop. Friend Ashley Watson said, “I want people to know Corri was loved. Corri was an artist, Corri was a father, Corri was a friend, he was a son, he was a brother — he will be truly missed. And there’s a lot of speculation about what happened, but all we know today is that we love him. And nothing else matters besides that.”

No word yet on Howard’s cause of death, but News 25 will keep you updated.
