False posts going around social media about serial killer, murder of officers in Pascagoula

Pascagoula police are alerting residents about a scam going around.

The department says to be aware of posts going around social media that authorities are on the lookout for a serial killer and murderer of three officers in the city.

Police say if a public safety issue or the death of an officer happened, it would be posted on the official page and not in a group.

If there are any questions about an issue you are asked to call Pascagoula police for clarification.

It doesn’t just affect Pascagoula either, if you question any posts you see on groups make sure to call your local police department.
