Fairgrounds Release 2017 Calendar Harrison County

If you missed an opportunity to attend an event at the Harrison County Fairgrounds in 2016, don’t worry, you’ll have many opportunities in 2017.
This week, the fairgrounds released their calendar of events for the year. The Winter Classics, which is what the fairgrounds has been known for, will be back starting on February 8th.
The fair, which made its return to the fairgrounds for the first time in decades, will once again return, but will have a big reveal for their dates.
From 5k runs to the circus, the director of the fairgrounds tells News 25, it does take some work to pull in events, but once they see the grounds it’s a done deal. Greg Whitfield with Harrison County Fairgrounds said,“We have a beautiful facility. Our guys work extremely hard to keep this place looking pristine. They do such a good job that as soon as we get any event coordinator or event planner out here, they love the place. They love the atmosphere and it’s pretty much easy after that.”
