Failure to pay child support conviction

A Memphis man was convicted in Harrison County for failing to pay more than $23,000 in child support. Thirty-seven year-old Abdulrahim Hasain was found guilty by a Harrison County jury Wednesday on one count of felony non-support of a child.
Hasain was immediately taken into custody and booked into the Harrison County Jail after it was proven at trial that he willfully refused to pay the $23,000 in child support to his daughter.
Hasain could face up to five years behind bars after his sentencing on August 31st.
