Excel by 5 and Coastal Family Health team up to hold Immunization Fair
Today in Biloxi, Excel by 5 hosted their seventh annual Immunization Fair at Lopez Elementary School.
Children could hop aboard the Coast Family Health’s Medical Mobile unit and get vaccinated just in time for the new school year.
These services were available for all students, not just those in Biloxi. Parents needed to bring their photo ID, proof of insurance if they have it, and medical records if they’re out of state.
Coastal Family Health Chief Medical Officer Dr. Wendy Williams stresses for parents to take advantage of services like these as their pediatric offices are busy. “We’re to the max with head start physicals, sports physicals, and everybody coming in to get all of that done. There’s only so many people we can see in a day at a pediatric clinic. So, having this opportunity to come in and get it taken care of.”
Biloxi Excel by 5 and Coastal Family Health will be hosting another immunization fair next Thursday, July 21st.
