Event cancellations at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum

The Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center announced today the re-scheduling of Summer Beach Fest that was supposed to take place later this month.

The three-day festival was set to feature a summer jam event, foam fest, and a Gucci Mane concert.

Due to the high COVID numbers in Mississippi and the region, the event planners chose to reschedule the event for a later date.

Coast Coliseum Executive Matt McDonnell says the coliseum will follow the governor’s executive orders when it comes to COVID guidelines. “Right now, there really aren’t any limitations. What we are seeing is event planners, whether it be promoters, trade show people, folks that put together conferences, they’re all concerned about this recent explosion in cases and rightfully so. They should be. I mean when the hospitals are telling you every single day they’re out of beds, that’s pretty serious. We’ll play it event by event and we’ll work with each event planner and promoter to try to have the protocols in place that will work for their different events and their company.”

All tickets for Summer Beach Fest will be refunded at the point of purchase.
