Evaluating Myles Brennan at LSU
Mississippi’s all-time leader in passing yards and touchdowns is former St. Stanislaus Quarterback Myles Brennan who already saw some playing time as a freshman this season at LSU.
Albeit a small sample size, so it’s hard to judge the former Rock-A-Chaw on his true freshman campaign, unless you saw him every day in practice. LSU Defensive Tackle Greg Gilmore did see him every day in practice, leading up to his Senior Bowl appearance this week.
On Tuesday, News 25 caught up with the NFL Draft hopeful who says he’s always got eyes on the QB, even if he’s not allowed to hit him. “He can spin that ball, man. He’s got a good sense of looking off safeties, a lot of professional things that he can do that I’ve seen on film. And he can really put the ball in tight windows, man. He’s going to be one of the great quarterbacks of the future, man. Sometimes he’s under center, I talk to him sometimes when you’re under center and I’m right under the nose. So yeah, I’ve gone against him plenty of times, man. He can throw that thing. Nah, I ain’t touching the quarterback. That’s one thing you don’t do.”
In 2017, Brennan went 14-24 for 182 yards and a touchdown with two picks.
The Senior Bowl kicks off tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. from Ladd Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama.
