Eureka Act Soon to Become Law
A bill that could be pivotal in the fight against Alzheimer’s Disease is now one step away from being a law.
In an overwhelming vote of 94-5, the United States Senate passed the Eureka Act authored by U.S. Senator Roger Wicker. The bill will now head to be signed by President Obama.
The bill would give prizes when a team of researchers achieve milestones.
Senator Wicker believes the Eureka Act is a cost-effective way to spur leading edge research. It would encourage more public-private collaboration in the fight against the disease.
