“Eureka” Act Close To Becoming A Law

With the passing of the 21st century cures act, a proposal surrounding Alzheimer’s disease by US Senator Roger Wicker is closer to becoming a law. The “Ensuring useful research expenditures is key for Alzheimer’s” or eureka act is part of the 21st century cures act. The proposal won’t replace funding or research initiatives for Alzheimer’s, but add another route for breakthroughs. The bill would give prizes when a team of researchers achieve specified goals or milestones. Wicker believes The Eureka Act is a cost-effective tool to spur leading edge research.
