Eucharistic Pilgrims walk to Long Beach
Catholic faithful on the Coast are participating in the third of the Eucharistic Revival Pilgrimage, walking from Pass Christian to Long Beach Wednesday morning.
Around 700 pilgrims started with a mass at 6 a.m. at St. Paul’s Chapel on Scenic Drive in Pass Christian, which was followed by the six-mile pilgrim walk to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Long Beach.
Looking ahead to tomorrow, the pilgrims will begin at St. James Catholic Church in Gulfport with a mass, followed by a nine-mile walk to Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cathedral in Biloxi.
The pilgrimage is part of a nationwide event that will have four groups converge on Indianapolis for the 10th National Eucharistic Congress, which begins on July 17th.
