Escaped inmate possibly on the Coast

The search continues for a killer on the run. Coast law enforcement is out in full force as tips, leads, and multiple sightings point toward our area.

Forty-eight year-old Michael Wilson was first reported missing yesterday afternoon from the South Mississippi Correctional Institution. News 25 spoke with Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell who says that Wilson hitch-hiked to a gas station in the area of Interstate 10 and Highway 57.

Wilson, nicknamed Pretty Boy Floyd, was serving two life sentences for killing two people in Harrison County. He stands 5’11 and weighs 160 pounds with hazel eyes.

The Department of Corrections says Wilson is not believed to be armed, but should be considered dangerous. News 25 will keep you updated as the search continues.
