Epps’ Hearing Now Uncertain

Plans to sentence former Mississippi Corrections Commissioner Christopher Epps and Brandon businessman Cecil McRory on July 19th are now uncertain.
U.S. District Judge Henry Wingate delayed hearing sentencing-related evidence on Thursday. This gives defense lawyers more time to review materials concerning how much money was gained by companies that bribed Epps and McRory. That amount determines how long he spends in prison for money laundering and filing false tax returns of $1.4 million.
