Enjoying a labor free day on Front Beach

Many Mississippians headed to the beach for a relaxing Labor Day on the water.

Front Beach in Ocean Springs was filled with beachgoers making the most of their off day. People were grilling, playing ball games, as well as just soaking up some sun.

News 25 spoke to multiple people, all thrilled to have a day off to spend at the beach with friends and family. Rema Lewis said, “I’m so glad we’re getting past COVID and all of that. We can get back out and enjoy family and the scenery and just embrace life.”

Natalie Hall said, “Because this is my senior year, so having these last few moments before I have to really dedicate to school, I really like to live in these moments.”

Cornelius Jones said, “Because everybody needs a day off sometimes, no stress.”

The beachgoers were making the most of their day off, relieved to have a relaxing day free from work and school before it is back to reality.
