Emergency declarations in Jackson County

Over in Jackson County, emergency declarations are being issued ahead of the anticipated storm.

Earlier this afternoon, the Jackson County Board of Supervisors issued a proclamation declaring a local emergency within the county and the cities of Moss Point and Pascagoula have followed suit.

Moss Point Mayor Mario King has also requested from the county government a load of sand to fill 3,000 sandbags.
