Emergency crews respond to train derailment in Harrison County Sunday

HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The Harrison County Fire Rescue along with other local agencies responded to a trail derailment Sunday morning.

The freight train was carrying non-hazardous iron ore when it derailed in a wooded area west of Vidalia Road.

There was no danger to the public and no roadways were closed or impacted due to the derailment.
