Eleven-year-old Jackson County boy honored for saving mother

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Singing River Health System honored one child in Jackson County for his heroism.

Timothy Thomas used quick thinking recently during a medical emergency involving his mom.

Timothy’s mom was experiencing a seizure while driving before pulling into the Singing River Hurley Clinic.

Timothy got out and quickly alerted clinic staff, allowing his mom to receive immediate care.

He was awarded a plaque by Singing River Health System and also received a certificate of appreciation from Jackson County Supervisor Barry Cumbest.
