Elderly Woman in Hospital after Robbery

An elderly woman is in the hospital after she was robbed and pushed down at a Gulfport Walmart last night.
The woman was standing near her car when a man shoved her to the ground and stole her purse at the Walmart off Highway 49.
The unknown white male suspect hopped into a gray Ford F150 truck that a white female suspect was driving and the two sped away. Surveillance video captured the female suspect and the car they both drove off with going west on Highway 49. Sergeant Joshua Bromen with Gulfport PD said, “We always want to remind people to be aware of your surroundings. If you see something that’s a little off, or someone appears to be following you, stay in the store, contact security, call 911. If it’s an emergency, we can address it.”
The victim’s son tells News 25 his mother is in her seventies and because of her injuries she will probably be in the hospital until later this week.
