Elderly man dies in two-car wreck on I-10 in D’Iberville

A two-vehicle wreck on Interstate 10 Monday morning claimed the life of one of the drivers.

D’Iberville Police Chief Shannon Nobles said one lane is still blocked in the eastbound lanes of I-10. One vehicle rear-ended another and an elderly male driver died in the accident.

His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

One lane was blocked and the coroner was on scene. Nobles said the victim may have suffered a medical emergency, which led to the crash.
