The Education Annex hosts grand opening in Bay St. Louis

Students in Hancock County now have a new venue to receive help with their school work and academics.

Local leaders gathered in Bay St. Louis today for the grand opening of ‘The Education Annex’, a new academic support service located just off of Highway 90.

The Education Annex will serve students from Pre-K through 12th grade and offers early intervention programs for younger learners.

Owner Dr. Rymsky Labat says she was inspired to start this service at the start of the pandemic as a way to give local kids more access to academic help.

“We provide those services after-hours,” Dr. Labat says. “Most tutoring programs are during the day, kids have to go to school during the day, parents have to work, so we’re trying to make sure that they have access during times when it’s most convenient to families.”
