Economic development priority for Gautier’s new city manager

GAUTIER , Miss. (WXXV) — Carlos Moulds is stepping into his new role as Gautier’s city manager.

Moulds will oversee the city’s seven departments and 134 full-time employees, and as a Gautier native, he says his goals are deeply rooted in his love for the community he grew up in and still calls home.

His background includes corporate and municipality experience with his resume including work in human resources in Virginia Beach and over a decade with Ingalls Shipbuilding here on the Coast. As for education, he has multiple masters degrees and is currently working toward his doctorate.

With his impressive background, he hopes to help guide the city along its path of growth while preserving its unique identity.

Moulds has a lot planned for his first 100 days, including listening sessions in all five wards. These will give him the opportunity to hear directly from residents. He also has an open door policy, allowing community members to bring their questions and concerns directly to him.
