East Biloxi roadwork

Roads are still torn up in East Biloxi as the city’s largest infrastructure project continues.
However, the end is in sight for many streets in the area. Oscar Renda Contracting reports a number of milestones this month with one of the largest accomplishments being that all streets east of Lee Street are in the final stages of construction.
For Patrick Davis, who owns DJ’s Convenience Store on Division Street, a light at the end of the construction tunnel is reassuring him he will soon start to see an increase in customers. “We started to see progress now that we do have asphalt on the streets. It’s a big help, but what we need to do now is let the customers know that we have asphalt and it is more accessible to get to our business because people are creatures of habit and they are accustomed to going to one place, but now we have good asphalt thanks to the city.”
A final coat of asphalt will now be put on Oak Street and roadways east of Oak Street before moving westward.
