Early Morning Porch Fire in Gulfport

Some teachers are praised for keeping a porch fire in Gulfport from spreading early this morning.
Teachers from Central Elementary noticed the fire in front of a home located across from the school around 7 a.m. According to Gulfport fire officials, residents were home but were unaware of the fire right outside the front door.
Fire crews quickly extinguished the flames and no injuries were reported.
