Eagles nesting by abandoned ball park in Biloxi

The eagle has landed and has found a new home in Biloxi.

Two bald eagles have been spotted nesting in a light standard near Cavalier Field and Elmwood Apartments in Biloxi.

Biloxi resident Larry Lococo says the eagles have been there since late February, early March.

He says at first, ospreys occupied the nest before being kicked out by the eagles. Typically, nesting season for eagles lasts from January to March.

A representative from U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services says not to harm or endanger the eagles if you do go near the nest.
