Drunk Driver Drives Car into the Sound

A Gautier man found himself in deep water this morning.
Thirty-five year-old Michael Duffy of Gautier drove his Cadillac SUV into the Mississippi Sound in Pascagoula late last night while allegedly driving under the influence on Market Street.
Pascagoula police used a backhoe to pull the car out of the water.
Duffy is charged with DUI, careless driving, running a stop sign and driving with a suspended license. No one was injured in the crash.
Pascagoula police urge the public to make sure to always have a plan to get home safely if you have been drinking.
