Driver escapes car fire on Highway 53 in Harrison County

A driver escapes injury after a fiery crash in Harrison County.

Harrison County Fire Rescue says the car was heading northbound on Highway 53 yesterday afternoon near Road 401 when it left the road, hit a fence, and caught fire.

The driver was able to leave the vehicle in time and was not injured.

Harrison County Fire Rescue along with Harrison County Sheriff’s Deputies and Mississippi Highway Patrol all responded to the scene.
