Drew Brees gives praises to Derek Carr

Before Drew Brees ever broke the NFL’s all-time passing record with the Saints, he came from somewhere else: the Chargers.

Before Derek Carr was given the opportunity to take his game to the next level with the Saints, he came from somewhere else: the Raiders.

The parallel story kinda writes itself. Earlier this week at the Zurich Classic Pro-Am in New Orleans, Brees giving his praises for the next line under center in the Big Easy.  “Leaving the situation that he was in and getting a fresh start was going to be a good thing anyway, but he’s stepping into a situation where it’s a great organization. It’s an organization that will do whatever it takes to win and build the pieces around him, right? That’s been proven. He has weapons at the receiver position, at the running back position, so he’s at that point where he’s got it all and now here’s the opportunity to really go and showcase it.”

Carr has thrown for more than 35,000 yards throughout the course of his nine-year NFL career all with the Raiders.
