Drainage improvement project in Gulfport set to begin
If the weather cooperates Monday, a major drainage improvement project is set to begin on 22nd Street.
That work is happening on 22nd Street between 21st and 23rd Avenues.
Crews will be working there to add new storm pipes, fresh pavement on that stretch of road, and enhanced drainage capacity.
City leaders say it is an area that has had ongoing drainage issues recently and they’re also using it as an opportunity to improve road conditions in the area as well.
