Dr. Carey Wright Responds To State Representatives

Mississippi State Superintendent Dr. Carey Wright has now sent out a response to the letter she received yesterday from a concerned group of state representatives.

That letter asked her to not adhere to a policy handed down by the department of justice and the department of education.

It allows students to use the bathroom according to their gender identity.

Her response states

Quote “Pending a discussion with the Mississippi State Board Of Education, I am instructing the Mississippi Department Of Education to follow the lead of state leadership and take no action. At this time regarding the non-regulatory guidance from the U.S. Department Of Justice and the U.S. Department Of Education.”
