Double shooting in Gautier

The Gautier Police Department is currently investigating a double shooting that occurred shortly after 9 a.m. this morning at Westpark Drive.
According to officials, there were two male victims who were shot and transported to Singing River Hospital. One victim died due to his injuries and the other is currently undergoing surgery and is expected to survive.
News 25 spoke to neighbors who witnessed the moments right after the shooting. “I heard the gunshots. When I came outside I really saw the dude, you know what I’m saying, lying face down in the ground. The dude that was sitting in the car with his hurt arm, he could have got out and checked on his homeboy. That was some foul stuff. He just sat there.”
Gautier Police have arrested Willie Campbell Jr. and is charged with one count of manslaughter. No bond has been set at this time.
