Donations needed to help provide services at the Salvation Army Center of Hope
It’s out with the old and in with the new and the Salvation Army wants to help you with your spring cleaning.
The Salvation Army’s Family Store is now accepting donations. Clothes, furniture, books, and more can be dropped off at the family store and repurposed for a good cause.
The proceeds from the sales of the items will help the Salvation Army Center of Hope provide rent and utility assistance as well as food and sheltering programs.
It’s all to help those going through difficult times get back on their feet. Major Jerry Friday with the Salvation Army said, “The Mississippi Gulf Coast is a generous community. We appreciate the support. We could not help the people who come to us if it weren’t for folks who donate to us material items, monetary donations, and even volunteers.”
To schedule a heavy furniture pick up with the Salvation Army, just dial 1-800-SATRUCK and enter your zip code and you will be added to the list.
Pick up services are available in all six South Mississippi counties.
