Donald Trump Visits the Coast

Whether you love him or hate him, presidential hopeful Donald Trump will touch down on the Coast in less than 24 hours.
He’s scheduled to speak at the Coast Coliseum in Biloxi tomorrow. Local leaders are expecting the rally to draw a huge crowd. How is the city preparing for his arrival?
In less than 24 hours, GOP presidential hopeful Donald Trump touches down in Biloxi and the Coast Coliseum stage is set, well almost. Coast Coliseum Executive Director Matt McDonnell said, “Had to make sure that the arena was set up to his specifications that work best for the type of crowds that he’s going to draw and what he’s accustomed to dealing with at his rallies.”
The types of crowds that Trump draws aren’t meager ones by any means. When the GOP frontrunner stopped in Mobile, an estimated 30,000 people were in attendance. Biloxi Public Affairs Manager Vincent Creel doesn’t believe those numbers will flock to Biloxi but there is no question Trump will bring the masses. “We’re not going to draw those numbers, we don’t think because the coliseum itself is going to hold about 13,000 or so for this visit. We’re anticipating huge crowds. Our job in the city is to make sure traffic moves.”
The city has already put barricades in place between the sidewalk and Highway 90, anticipating the crowds to gather as early as tomorrow morning. “We’re going to open the grounds where people can get on at 8 a.m. The doors to the event will open at approximately 4 p.m. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. It is general admission, so there are no reserved seats,” said McDonnell.
No reserved seats and standing room only on the floor, so what makes locals so eager to see a man speak? President of the Harrison County Republican Club Pete Wilson said he’s simply going to hear what Trump has to say.“I’m interested in Mr. Trump because he’s not a politician. If there’s anything that has marked his appearance is, it’s not really a political speech, it’s a speech from the man’s heart. He really believes what he says.”
Whether you’re a Trump lover or a hater, the man with all the persona is on his way to the Coast.
The grounds at the coliseum will open tomorrow morning at 8. The coliseum doors will open at 4 and Trump will speak at 7.
