Donal M. Snyder Sr. Community Center now open
The Donal Snyder Community Center in Biloxi reopened its doors to the public after Labor Day. The center had been closed since mid-March.
The facility is currently open on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and guests can enjoy a variety of activities from walking on their track to playing basketball, pickle ball, and racquetball.
Usually throughout the year, the center hosts many senior and youth programs however those have been postponed due to COVID-19.
Guests can expect to have their temperature checked when entering, mandatory face masks, and an abundance of hand sanitizer stations.
Also there are limits to the amount of guests that can be in one area at one time. City of Biloxi Public Affairs Specialist Cecilia Dobbs Walton said, “The Snyder Center is not only open to Biloxi residents, it’s open to the public and it’s open to visitors. So, you don’t have to be a Biloxi resident to enjoy the amenities or get a pass or pay a small fee to get in and enjoy some of the other activities.”
Guests will enjoy a new air conditioning system and their lap and therapy pool will be completed in a couple of weeks.
With your Snyder Center pass you can swim laps at the Biloxi Natatorium. Their pool is open.
