Dolce Bakeshop celebrates Christmas in July

Are you ready for the season of giving? Because Christmas came early for a few locals thanks to a bakery in Long Beach.

Dolce Bakeshop in Long Beach is having its annual Christmas in July special that ends Saturday. There will also be a city-wide early bird Christmas celebration in the town green.

The special ran all week with some of your favorite Christmas treats from gingerbread cookies with nice bathing suits on them to beat the Mississippi heat to fan favorites in the shop in peppermint mocha and gingerbread cupcakes.

An employee at the bakery tells us how the unique holiday involves the community while keeping the spirit alive in July. Employee Isabella Defelicibus said, “So we’ve been doing Christmas in July for two years now this is going to be our second year. And we just love the community coming in and showing their love and support towards our sweets inside and I mean come on who doesn’t love Christmas?”
