Dog with Third Degree Burns Identified by Owners

Gage, the mixed breed dog who entered the doors of the Humane Society of South Mississippi with third degree burns covering more than half of his body, has been identified by his owners.
Staff at HSSM learned today that Gage’s injuries were caused by an accidental fire at his owner’s residence. Gage’s owner assumed that he had perished in the fire and contacted HSSM after seeing his story on the news.
