Dog Training Classes and Kickball Registration
For the first time since before Hurricane Katrina, Biloxi Parks and Recreation is bringing back dog training classes and registration is open all this week.
Whether you want to teach your dog to sit, stay, rollover or behave while at either of Biloxi’s two dog parks, now is your chance to learn from a certified instructor. Puppy level classes begin Monday, September 12th. Adult beginner level classes begin Thursday, September 15th. You have to register at the Parks and Recreation Department Office to save your spot now.
While you’re there, now is also the time to register your 9 to 13 member teams for the Hiller Park Revitalization Group Annual Kickball Tournament which happens Saturday, October 1st. Cecilia Dobbs Walton with the City of Biloxi said, “The Hiller Park kickball tournament is put on by the City of Biloxi and Friends of Hiller Park. They will also have concessions at the event and the money received will go for the revitalization of Hiller Park and what they’re currently working on is a shade structure for the playground, benches and picnic tables.”
Whether you’re registering your kickball team or signing up for dog training classes, you have until Friday to stop by the Parks and Recreation Office between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
