Dinner of Champions

Multiple sclerosis is a disease that continues to affect the lives of thousands here in Mississippi.
Hundreds came together this evening to raise money for MS research during the 30th annual Dinner of Champions at the Beau Rivage.
The event pays tribute to leaders in the community who go above and beyond to help make a difference in the lives of people living with the disease.
This year’s honoree was Gulfport businessman Dave Dennis. “Our feeling is if you want to enhance your community, you get out, go roll your sleeves up and go make it work. That’s what we’ve done our entire lives. If Multiple Sclerosis wants to acknowledge that, I’m grateful, but it doesn’t matter. We’re still working on the ground in the morning, doing civic things along with our real job,” said Dennis.
In addition to dinner, those who attended the event learned more about various treatments for the disease and participated in a silent auction that benefits MS research.
