D’Iberville three-star and two-way standout Jordan Walley announces commitment to Minnesota
D’IBERVILLE, Miss. — The Walley name is headed back to Minneapolis.
D’Iberville three-star prospect and two-way standout Jordan “Champ” Walley has officially announced his commitment to play football at the University of Minnesota, continuing a family legacy with the Golden Gophers.
Walley has emerged as one of the top playmakers on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, starring on both sides of the ball for the Warriors. The dynamic athlete helped lead D’Iberville to its most successful season in four years while showcasing his versatility as both a quarterback and cornerback.
Minnesota is recruiting Walley as a cornerback, and it’s easy to see why. During his junior campaign, he recorded 31 total tackles, including two tackles for loss, while adding four pass breakups and an interception to anchor the Warriors’ secondary.
Offensively, Walley proved just as dangerous. The dual-threat quarterback rushed for 776 yards and 16 touchdowns while also throwing for n 1,368 yards and five scores, making him a nightmare matchup for opposing defenses throughout the season.
The commitment carries special significance for the Walley family. Jordan’s older brother, Justin Walley, starred at the University of Minnesota from 2021 to 2024 before being selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2025 NFL Draft. Another older brother, Jaden Walley, also played at the next level, leaving his mark at Mississippi State University.
Now, Jordan Walley will have the opportunity to add his own chapter to the family’s football story.
With his senior season still ahead of him, Warriors fans will have one more year to watch the talented playmaker before he takes his talents to Minnesota. If his junior campaign was any indication, Walley’s final high school season could be one to remember.
Congratulations to Jordan Walley on his commitment, and best of luck as he prepares for his senior year at D’Iberville.
