D’Iberville State of the City highlights growth, traffic upgrades and major projects
D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (WXXV)- Community members gathered at the D’Iberville Community Center as city leaders shared major updates on traffic improvements, public safety, and quality of life during the State of the City address.
City Manager Bobby Weaver says D’Iberville’s growth is being driven by record-breaking sales tax revenue and major investments in the city.
Specifically, work on the $16 million Sangani-Mallett Intersection Project is expected to begin soon to help improve traffic flow.
Also on the horizon, the $10 million town green renovation project with $7.9 million covered through a federal grant.
Weaver says that he hopes these projects, combined with the city’s continued focus on public safety and community events will create a stronger D’Iberville in the years to come.
