D’Iberville State of the City Address

This morning D’Iberville Mayor Rusty Quave spoke to a room of community members about all things going on throughout the city.

Mayor Quave touched on several projects that are in the works right now and projects that have been completed over the past few years. They all point toward progress for D’Iberville.

Some of those projects include the brand new $9 million sportsplex. Mayor Quave spoke about the progress of the $4.5 million police safety center of Lamey Bridge Road.

Mayor Quave also told News 25 the dream of a second casino in D’Iberville is now quickly becoming a reality. “There is a time line as far as finances and we are at the end of that, believe it or not. So we feel real good that within the next month we should have a definite developer in place with the financial capability of doing it. They are talking about starting construction before the end of the year. It’s going to move real fast once it is in place.”
