D’Iberville Relief Team Heads to Louisiana
Members from another Gulf Coast city left for Louisiana this morning to donate supplies they collected for flood victims.
The City of D’Iberville loaded a trailer full of cleaning materials, cases of water, and much more which will go to Denham Springs.
A team of about 15 people from D’Iberville will not only donate supplies, they will also cook for over 600 citizens and first responders in the area.
This is a unified effort with the One Coast, One Relief initiative and the community response has been incredible. D’Iberville City Manager Clay Jones said, “You know, it brings back a lot of memories and I think that’s why citizens here in D’Iberville are so giving because they remember what happened. The smells are the same, the people look the same, the weary look on their face. They just need something like this.”
The City of Ocean Springs brought their collected items to the D’Iberville Fire Station this morning to bring over to Denham Springs, adding to the large amount of supplies.
