D’Iberville High School cheerleading duo signs to Pearl River Community College

D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (WXXV) — Two D’Iberville Warriors cheerleaders are taking their talents to the next level.

Mackenzie Thomas and Raegan Roberts both signed to cheer with Pearl River Community College on Tuesday afternoon. PRCC has won three UCA national titles in the past four years.

Thomas is a four-year member of D’Iberville’s ballgame and competitive cheerleading squads, while also participating in local competitive gymnastics. She was named a UCA All-American over the summer.

“My coach originally reached out to Pearl River’s coach and told her to look at us, so we put things on our socials and started going to clinics up there, and it was just a great time all the time,” Thomas said. “Like, I just wanted to be there all the time. It’s just a really good environment and they’ve got a great program. I’ve heard so many amazing things about the program. When I got the offer, I was like, ‘This is where I want to be.'”

Roberts has also spent the past four years on the Warriors’ ballgame and competitive cheerleading squads. She’s a member of Cheer Zone Athletics and has received All-American honors from UCA and NFinity.

“I just felt really welcomed at that first clinic, and that just kind of made me really excited and it made me really want to go there,” Roberts explained.
