D’Iberville Head Coach Larry Dolan wins Lindy Callahan Coach of the Year award
To coach high school football in the year 2020 was to not only implement a game plan for Friday but also to implement a game plan for how to even get to Friday.
In this COVID-shortened season, D’Iberville found a way to make it to all nine regular season games and win all nine regular season games under the leadership of Head Coach Larry Dolan.
Last night, the second-year head man of the Warriors was the recipient of the Lindy Callahan Coach of the Year award presented annually by the Gulfport Gridiron Club.
Despite losing a heartbreaker to Northwest Rankin in the second round of the class 6A playoffs, 10-1 D’Iberville became the first region 4 school to ever finish the regular season undefeated on the way to winning its first district title since 2016.
