D’Iberville crew in Amory to help tornado victims
Police officers, firefighters, and city officials from D’Iberville are in Amory today.
A group of about 20 city employees left early this morning to travel to the tornado-ravaged town. The crew will feed about 800 people and deliver two trailers full of supplies as part of the tornado relief effort.
The city collected water, tarps, diapers, wipes, paper products, and even bought some stuffed animals for the children for Easter.
City Manager Bobby Weaver said they hope to meet with city officials to determine some of the town’s long-term needs.
